Dr. Christiane Metzeltin

My interest in medicine was awakened early on in my family of doctors. An internship at St. Anna Children's Hospital sparked my passion for pediatrics and adolescent medicine. There I completed my general pediatric training with a lot of insight into the special field of hematology and oncology. The training I completed in Vienna and Baden as a general practitioner also expanded my knowledge, and longer stays in Australia and Italy broadened my international medical experience.

My special interest, developmental neurology, deepened through my work in a developmental diagnostic outpatient clinic, various further training courses and my work as an assessor for child care benefits, which I have been doing for many years to this day.

For the last four years, I have been running my own pediatric practice in Vienna, Mariahilf. I was able to gain experience in this field through many years of working in outpatient clinics, numerous substitute practices and employment in a large pediatric primary care center.

As a mother of two and a „bonus mother“, I bring a lot of understanding and always have an open ear for your concerns. Pediatrics is my vocation and gives me great pleasure, which I make my patients and their families feel.

My superpowers are humor, creativity and empathy.

I speak fluent English and Italian as well as good French and look forward to accompanying you on the path of your children's healthy development.
