Dr. Monika Schneider

As a specialist in pediatrics and adolescent medicine, I have been supporting my young patients and their families for many years with a great deal of joy, empathy and experience.

After my studies in Vienna and subsequent research work at the Children's Cancer Research Institute, I completed my training as a specialist in pediatrics and adolescent medicine at St. Anna Children's Hospital in Vienna.

I also worked as a junior doctor and clinical fellow for pediatric haematology and oncology at various renowned children's hospitals and was able to gain valuable experience - one year each at Great Ormond Hospital in London, SickKids in Toronto and Saint-Luc University Hospital in Brussels.

My work for several years in two pediatric practices in Vienna was equally instructive.

Since 2014, I have been working as a senior physician at St. Anna Children's Hospital, where my special focus is on the care of chronically ill children with blood disorders (anemia) and vascular diseases (vascular malformations), as well as the aftercare of children with various types of cancer.

After many years as a pediatrician - and especially with my own experience as a mother - I can understand your worries and concerns very well. I know how important it is for parents, children and doctors to really listen to each other, to have enough time and to create a relaxed environment.
