If your child falls ill on the weekend, we are here for you. In our acute care clinic in 1070 Vienna, we care for children from their first day of life through adolescence – for sudden symptoms, infections, fever, pain, or breathing difficulties.
Please always make an appointment online or by phone before your visit. This allows us to plan our processes well and ensure the shortest possible waiting times for you.

Our modern and barrier-free pediatric consultation is designed with great attention to detail so that families feel comfortable right from the start. A relaxed atmosphere awaits you as soon as you enter: two spacious waiting areas - separate for healthy and sick children - ensure safety and comfort.
Six individually designed consulting rooms, a child-friendly therapy room with a climbing wall and therapy swing as well as a spacious WC with a changing area, children's washbasin and a separate entrance door for dwarves make your stay particularly pleasant. There are plenty of parking spaces for baby carriages in the entrance area and in the surgery.
To ensure that even the youngest children can move around freely, the entire surgery area is a shoe-free zone. This means that all children can crawl and play on the floor. For the adults, there is of course coffee and a relaxed environment during the waiting time.

Can I just go to the pediatrician without an appointment?
Please always come with appointment. You can use this very easily online or by telephone during our surgery hours. It is particularly important for us to be there for you at short notice in the event of a sudden onset of fever, pain or other symptoms.

Are small children also treated or only older children?
In the Glückskind Pediatric Center children are welcome from the first day of life - regardless of age or stage of development. Our team looks after infants as well as schoolchildren and teenagers up to the age of majority.
What documents do we need to bring with us?
Can I come with several children at the same time?
Are vaccinations possible at the weekend?
Depending on the number of patients, we can also vaccinate your child at the weekend by prior arrangement by telephone. Please always remember your child's valid vaccination card for vaccination appointments so that we can correctly record and document the current vaccination status.
Please note, however, that we primarily treat acute illnesses at the weekend.
What does a weekend treatment cost?
The costs for treatment at the weekend are based on our current Tariff list. The Glückskind practice is an elective practice, which means that you initially pay the fee yourself. You can then have part of the treatment costs reimbursed by your health insurance company afterwards, the rest or a certain percentage is usually covered by the respective supplementary insurance. You can find further information on this directly from the Vienna Medical Association.
What happens if my child falls ill outside opening hours?
In the event of acute illness outside of our children's appointment times, you should immediately contact the Medical radio service (141) or the free health number (1450) dial. You can find more information on telephone numbers for medical emergencies on the website of the City of Vienna.
